Diabetes continues to strike El Pasoans and others along the U.S.-Mexico border at an alarming rate, a new study released Wednesday in El Paso shows. Nearly 1.1 million border residents 18 and older have Type 2 diabetes. An additional 836,000 are at risk of getting the disease, the study found.

Why this Blog?
Shortly after my 12 year old nephew was diagnosed with Diabetes 1, I started this blog for he and his mother. There is so much to learn and so much to know and so many unanswered questions. My hope is that it provides a place for knowledge and healing. To your health nephew!
